Programmes & Projects
The provision of social infrastructure and implementation of development programmes is recognised as one of several preventative approaches to managing Violent Extremism. Support for sustainable socio-economic and income-generating activities would therefore provide opportunities for unemployed young people in vulnerable local communities and thus inhibit their recruitment into violent extremist and/or terrorist groups.
